Mix, sauce, and layer up your finest at the first-ever TCGIS Auflauf Cook-Off! It's competitive, hot-dish-style action as TCGIS cooks face off over their best recipes. Celebrity judges will be on hand to evaluate entries in several categories, including German Traditional (Auflauf), American Traditional (tater-tot optional), and Spicy/Vegetarian. When the judging is done, everyone will have a chance to dish up at this community dinner. Tickets go on sale in mid-September--space is limited! The Cook-off will be at the Salvation Army Community Center at 2727 Central Avenue NE, Minneapolis--which has playspace for the kids! Click here for complete details and a registration form. |

Community Craft & Bake Sale - Saturday, November 21, 2009, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
TCGIS crafters and bakers will have a chance to showcase their talents at our first ever holiday craft & bake sale this fall. We will be accepting all types of crafts, including knitted, crocheted or sewed items; jewelry; ceramics; and hand-stamped cards, to name just a few. We will also welcome home-canned goods and kids' crafts. If you are not into the craft arts, we will need bakers too. And if you can't wield a glue gun or a cookie cutter, never fear--we also need shoppers!
More details about the sale will follow in the next month, but in the meantime please contact Heidi Zimmermann, hzimmermann22 @ yahoo.com, if you are interested in donating or helping at the event. |
